Job Description

Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council\’s key objectives, specifically relating to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment can be made. PVG records are updated regularly, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time post based at Darvel Primary School. The hours are 8 per week, on Mondays and Fridays, from 10 am to 2 pm. The hourly rate is £12.96. The post is temporary until 31st December 2025.
