Job Description

Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council\'s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a PVG Scheme member or have an existing record update before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Stewarton Academy, working 16 hours per week with the following pattern: Monday - Thursday: 11.15am - 2.30pm; Friday: 11.30am - 2.30pm. The hourly rate is £12.96. The post is temporary until 24th May 2026.
