Job Description

Undertake the full range of Hostel Support Worker duties to assist service users with integration into the hostel environment and the wider community. This role aims to promote, deliver, and support the integration of the Council\’s key objectives, particularly in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

Responsibilities

This is a bank/casual post based at St Andrews Hostel, Kilmarnock. The hourly rate is £14.83. There are no guaranteed hours of work.
