Assist with the provision of an efficient and effective integrated facilities management service within a Council/Partner premise as well as the provision of a reactive service covering Janitorial, Cleaning and Crossing patrols across a service area, ensuring delivery and integration of the Council's key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

These are permanent part time posts based within Drongan Community Education Centre. The hours of work are 22 hours per week, working over a 2 week Rota (Flexible) as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday 10:00am -12:00pm & 2:30pm - 17:00pm, Tuesday 10:30am - 1:00pm, Wednesday 12:00pm - 5:00pm, Thursday 9:30am - 11:30am & 2:30pm -5:00pm, Friday 9:30am -1:00pm & Saturday 8:30am - 12:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday 5:00pm - 9:00pm, Tuesday 2:30pm - 5:30pm & 6:30pm - 9:00pm, Wednesday 5:00pm - 9:00pm, Thursday 5:00pm - 9:00pm & Friday 2.30pm - 5:30pm

The full time salary for the post is between £27,686 - £28,860 per annum. The actual part time salary of the post is between £16,462 - £17,160 per annum.
