Retail Sales Supervisor – St Ives

Working Pattern: 14 hours per week, working 2 days over a 6‑day week. Mandatory weekend working on a rotational basis.

Permanent Contract

£12.71 per hour

East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) is looking for a Retail Sales Supervisor at our brand St Ives Shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join EACH’s vibrant retail team and be an essential member of one of our charity shops to maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid, and eCommerce.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Shop Manager in achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Maintain high standards of display, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Promote Gift Aid and help grow our eCommerce presence.
  • Act as Duty Manager when required, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers in a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and the local community.

Qualifications

  • A welcoming, inclusive approach with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and use initiative.
  • Comfortable with lifting and moving stock and using electronic devices (tills, tablets, computers).
  • Experience in retail or team supervision is desirable, but not essential — we value transferable skills!
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to legal requirements for equipment use and supervision responsibilities.
  • Weekend and public holiday work may be required.
