EACH are Hiring: Child & Young Person Counsellor at both the Nook and Treehouse Hospice.
Are you a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist with experience supporting children and young people? Do you feel confident helping families navigate grief, trauma, and emotional distress? We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Child & Young Person Counsellor to join our Care team.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide therapeutic support to children and families living with severe medical complexity, life‑threatening or life‑shortening conditions, as well as those experiencing bereavement and anticipatory grief.
Location: The Treehouse Hospice / The Nook Hospice (with work across hospice, community, and education settings).
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Please note: A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
What we’re looking for:
- Postgraduate qualification in counselling/psychotherapy (Level 5+) specific to work with children and young people (CYP).
- UKCP registration/ BACP accreditation (or working towards), or equivalent.
- Ability to practise with both adults and children.
- Proven experience supporting children, young people, and families.
- Strong skills in assessment, risk management, and multi-agency working.
- Experience working with grief, loss, trauma, and emotional distress.
