East Anglian Site Engineering is looking for an experienced Site Engineer with Earthworks experience to join our team on the prestigious Sizewell C project in Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the country's most significant infrastructure developments. The initial contract is expected to run for up to two years, with further work opportunities highly likely as the project progresses.

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented engineers who can oversee site activities, maintain engineering controls, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

Working as part of a large civil engineering and earthworks team, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of construction operations, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out setting out and surveying activities across earthworks operations.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and construction documentation.
  • Collaborate with Site Management, Surveyors, Contractors and Engineering teams to coordinate site activities.
  • Verify site measurements, levels and boundaries using surveying equipment and GPS technology.
  • Monitor progress and identify engineering or construction issues before they impact delivery.
  • Complete quality assurance documentation and maintain accurate site records.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built records and progress reports.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and safety requirements are achieved.
  • Support the implementation of engineering and construction best practices.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health, safety and environmental culture on site.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong setting out experience using total stations and GPS equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documents.
  • Good understanding of QA procedures, documentation and site reporting requirements.
  • Experience working alongside surveyors and construction teams.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable.
  • Safety Critical Medical

Equipment

Engineers with their own survey kit and equipment are encouraged to apply. Equipment can also be provided where required.
