Sutherlands is a well regarded family run care home with nursing. It is one of two nursing homes owned by East Anglia Care Homes Ltd. Sutherlands is a 52 beds nursing home situated in the residential area of Wymondham, Norfolk with good public transport to Norwich. The home provides care to meet the needs of people requiring nursing care, dementia care, palliative care and NHS Continuing Health Care.
As a Registered Nurse RGN/RMN you will provide high quality nursing services to our residents, showing compassion, care and commitment to making a real difference to their lives. Your duties will include:
- Caring assessments of the care needs of residents, developing care plans based on your assessment and overseeing the care provided.
- Dealing with the administration and management of medication.
- Providing the care and interventions that are within the competence of a Registered Nurse.
- Dealing with healthcare professionals, making appropriate notes of those dealings and actioning any matters arising.
- Overseeing the work of your support staff.
- Providing encouragement and support to your support staff to enhance their personal and career development.
- Setting and upholding high standards.
- Dealing with families and friends of residents.
- Being an ambassador of the home.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with an up to date UK NMC PIN.
- A caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who is interested in working in a growing and progressive organisation.
- A good communicator both orally and in writing.
- Approachable.
- Able to demonstrate an attention to detail.
Hours of work:
Day shifts are: 8am - 2pm & 2pm - 8pm. Some nurses prefer to work a long day, 8am - 8pm. Night shifts are: 8pm - 8am.
