East Anglia Care Homes Ltd operates two care homes in Norfolk, Halvergate House in North Walsham and Sutherlands in Wymondham. It has a fully integrated accounting system with accounting software Pegasus Opera. This is a new position. We are seeking a Management Accountant to take responsibility for the accounting function.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Prepare annual budgets and investigate variances between budgets and actual
- Take responsibility for the day to day accounting function to include payroll, purchases, sales, cashbook, credit control and reconciliations
- Liaise with external auditors when applicable
- Develop relationships with external contacts such as auditors, solicitors and HM Revenue & Customs
- Maintain good working relationship with colleagues at both care homes
- Monthly report to directors on performance
- Ensuring the financial function operates efficiently
Skills and qualifications:
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or AAT)
- 2-4 years' experience in a management accountant role
