Role Overview

We are recruiting for a Radiography Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high‑quality imaging service.
  • Schedule appointments for CT, MRI and PET/CT scans using the computerised system.
  • Perform reception duties, including welcoming patients and visitors, communicating with colleagues and the line manager regarding handover, annual leave and rosters.
  • Ensure patients are comfortable in waiting areas and address their emotional needs through sensitive and understanding communication.
  • Liaise with the hospital transport office to arrange patients’ transport for their return journeys.
  • Monitor usage of and reorder supplies to support smooth service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with radiographers, radiologists and other staff to inform them of any problems, complaints or service issues that may arise.

Presently, the role supports a high‑cost area supplement of 15 % of the basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro‑rata.
