We are recruiting for a Pharmacist Advanced – Obstetrics & Gynaecology who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an advanced clinical pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at Lister Hospital, East & North Hertfordshire Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with either a keen interest and passion, or experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.

You will be the directorate lead pharmacist for Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the East and North Herts Teaching NHS Trust. You will provide the clinical and pharmacy services to all areas within the Maternity Unit and Gynaecology wards.

As part of your line management role, you will have the opportunity to select, manage, develop and appraise staff working within the department.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be the directorate lead pharmacist for Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the East and North Herts NHS Trust.

You will provide evaluated pharmaceutical and financial information to general managers and lead consultants.

The post holder will be in a position to provide expert pharmaceutical advice on issues across the organisation, analysing a range of highlycomplex facts.

The successful candidate will also support the education and development of other members of staff.

You will be required to carry out general dispensing and associated clinical and pharmaceutical duties and to assist with the provision of the pharmaceutical service to the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

Qualifications/Training

  • Masters Degree MPharm or equivalent
  • Registered with the GPhC as a pharmacist
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or working towards completion
  • Leadership course or working towards
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Previous Experience

  • Relevant post registration experience in hospital pharmacy
