The predicted salary is between 15000 - 20000 £ per year.
Part-time: 21 hours per week, between Monday and Friday, 9:00 am – 5 pm (Set hours within the working week are open to discussion). Fixed term until 31st July 2028. The contract may be extended subject to funding. No previous CAB experience is required - full training will be provided.

East and Central Sutherland is an independent charity providing advice, information and support to people across our community. We are a small, friendly team of staff and volunteers working across our rural communities delivering a busy advice service. We strive to deliver a good quality service that meets the needs of our communities and clients in a non-judgmental and confidential manner. We aim for individuals not to miss out through not knowing or understanding their rights and responsibilities, or not being aware of the services available to them. We provide advice and options to our clients so that they can make informed decisions and feel empowered to improve their circumstances.
Purpose of the Role
The Generalist Adviser role is essential in ensuring the organisation provides a high standard of advice to the public. The adviser will work as part of the advice team to deliver generalist and holistic advice and support to clients accessing our service. This will involve using sensitive listening and questioning skills to encourage clients to explain their issue(s) and to empower them to set their own priorities for a resolution. Once in post, completion of the Citizens Advice Training programme is essential.
