SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST
Earthstream are currently looking for a ‘Senior Geophysicist’ to assist an Offshore Windfarm project. You will be responsible for leading and managing geophysical investigations, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that the geological and geophysical data collected informs the planning, design, and operational processes of the wind farm.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Lead offshore geophysical surveys.
- Manage and oversee data processing, quality control, and interpretation to generate accurate geophysical models and reports.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to integrate geophysical data.
- Provide geophysical guidance during the offshore survey phases.
- Act as the primary geophysical expert within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with engineers, environmental scientists, and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed geophysical reports, presenting complex data and findings clearly to non-experts, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal procedures for data management and reporting.
Requirements (but not limited to):
- Degree educated in Geophysics, Geology, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years experience in geophysical surveys and offshore projects.
- Strong proficiency with geophysical survey techniques.
- Expertise in geophysical data interpretation and software.
- Experience with renewable energy, particularly offshore wind projects.
- Knowledge of marine geology and environmental regulations for offshore projects.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex geophysical concepts to stakeholders.
