Responsible for reviewing marine operations, assessing vessel suitability, mitigating project risks, and supporting safe execution of offshore cable projects.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and approve marine operation procedures and method statements.Conduct vessel suitability and marine spread assessments.Review cable lay, burial, shore-end pull-in, and repair methodologies.Assess transportation, loadout, and installation activities.Monitor critical offshore operations and verify compliance with approved procedures.Review risk assessments, weather criteria, and contingency plans.Produce technical reports, recommendations, and approval documentation.Liaise with developers, contractors, vessel operators, and insurers.RequirementsSignificant experience in offshore marine operations and subsea cable installation.Strong knowledge of export, array, HVDC, or HVAC cable projects.Experience with offshore wind, interconnector, or subsea infrastructure projects.Familiarity with marine assurance, warranty survey, and offshore installation practices.Offshore certification and willingness to travel offshore as required.DeliverablesMarine operation reviews.Vessel suitability assessments.Risk and compliance evaluations.Offshore attendance reports.Technical approval documentation.Certificates of approval where applicable.
