Earthstream are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our client, a specialist in control system design, software development, and manufacturing services for industrial machinery. You will play a key role in designing innovative electrical and control systems across diverse projects, with opportunities to travel to site during various project phases (frequency dependent on project requirements).
The Role
- Design and develop electrical and control systems using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software (training available for strong AutoCAD users).
- Produce comprehensive design documentation, including:
- Title pages, revision overviews, explanatory documents, and safety evaluation reports
- Layouts (machine/plant, bus network, electrical arrangements)
- Multi-line and single-line diagrams, PLC overviews, terminal and cable diagrams
- Parts lists, summarised reports, macros, and plot frames
Essential Skills & Experience
- HND in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Strong understanding of safety, regulatory, and quality standards (HSE, ISO).
- Proficiency in EPlan Electric and Pro Panel (or strong AutoCAD skills with willingness to learn EPlan).
- Solid knowledge of electrical and control components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Confident working independently as well as within a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills.
