We are a busy, family-run civil engineering and groundwork company based in the Horsham area, and we are looking for a reliable and hardworking HGV Driver / Plant Operator / Yardman to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working both on the road and in the yard, and who takes pride in being part of a close-knit, hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a HGV roll-on/roll-off lorry
- Transporting plant machinery, aggregates, and muck-away materials
- Operating plant machinery (primarily diggers)
- Assisting with general yard duties and organisation
- Supporting site operations as required
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
Requirements
- Valid HGV licence
- Proven experience operating diggers (tickets not essential, but experience is)
- Must be based locally to the Horsham area
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Mechanical experience
- Fabrication/welding skills
- Previous experience within groundwork or civil engineering
