We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to support installation, auditing, scanning, and site-based technical activities across the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently at client sites while representing the company with professionalism. This role includes frequent travel and occasional international assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Site Operations
- Prepare and coordinate site installation phases, including logistics, safety compliance, and site access arrangements.
- Conduct pre-installation activities, ensuring all resources, tools, and documentation are in place.
- Install and assemble systems at client facilities in line with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure projects are executed successfully, meeting deadlines, client expectations, and safety requirements.
- Technical Activities
- Perform on-site SF6 audits with high accuracy.
- Carry out 3D scanning operations, ensuring precision and correct data capture.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and propose effective, timely solutions.
- Maintain, calibrate, and manage tools, scanning devices, and technical instruments.
- Reporting & Feedback
- Provide structured and accurate feedback from field operations to support continuous improvement.
- Produce clear, detailed intervention reports after each site visit.
- Supply engineering and design teams with accurate site data and documentation.
- Client Engagement
- Liaise with clients on-site, acting as a professional representative of the company.
- Support strong customer relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.
- Travel Requirements
- Travel extensively across the UK & Ireland based on weekly project schedules.
- Participate in occasional overseas missions when required.
- Additional Responsibilities (Enhanced Scope)
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments before project execution.
- Ensure compliance with UK health & safety standards (RAMS, risk assessments, method statements).
- Participate in internal training sessions and contribute to knowledge-sharing across teams.
