Rotation: Mon–Fri, 40 hours per week. Outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery of the Electrical Transmission system for the offshore project.
- Prioritise HSE performance through planning, design and implementation to eliminate or reduce risks during design, construction, operation and maintenance.
- Provide key inputs into the development of the wider electrical system including grid connection, onshore and offshore substations and cables.
- Work with package managers to ensure coordinated delivery of associated packages on time, in quality, on budget.
- Cost, schedule, quality and change control.
- Technical, commercial, cost, resource and time planning for the electrical system and associated works.
- Support permitting, land and development activities.
- Coordinate and align procurement planning and supply chain engagement.
- Promote ‘Right First Time’ behaviours within the project team.
- Collaborate with major construction packages such as WTGs and Inter-Array cabling.
- Contribute to Lessons Learned activities.
- Report to the Project Leadership Team as required.
- Represent the electrical system packages at Contractor Steering Committee meetings.
- Understand OFTO transaction processes, risks and opportunities for UK projects.
- Safe delivery of the electrical transmission system including development, construction and handover to operations, closeout of commercial aspects and full as-built documentation.
- All certificates required to perform offshore works.
- Degree or Chartership in Project Management and membership of APM or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Knowledge of standards for Offshore Substation and offshore works.
- Degree level education or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering or technical equivalent.
- Experience delivering large, complex capital projects through development and construction.
- Experience of HV and EHV transmission systems.
- Knowledge of grid infrastructure.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with suppliers and grid operators.
- Strong team player, self-starter and highly motivated.
- Business proficient in English.
- Competent in contract management, claims, negotiation and dispute resolution.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Flexible approach and willingness to travel frequently.
