Electrical Lead – Complex Construction Projects – Cardiff
An exciting opportunity has come up with one of our international clients who are looking for an Electrical Lead to join their UK division with the first project being in Cardiff, Wales.
The Electrical Lead will be responsible for the delivery of complex Electrical systems across a large and/or multiple smaller scale projects, making sure everything is on time, budget, and meets the company’s safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support all aspects associated with the MEP Technical and Commercial parts of the overall Project Bid.
- Provide guidance in the tender and award of MEP packages in accordance with the required contract Pre-Construction and procurement strategy, and objectives.
- Ensure MEP teams ascertain Temporary Electrical requirements for their projects.
- Take overall responsibility for MEP Project delivery by providing the guidance, leadership and motivation to MEP teams.
- Support the planning for key building services resources to manage delivery of projects.
- Ensure MEP teams are managing their projects in accordance with the full suite of Building Services Management Procedures & Guidance documentation.
- Ensure teams execute the finalisation of Building Services Installation and Commissioning programmes.
Essential experience
- 10+ years’ experience in managing large scale and complex MEP related projects.
- Good understanding of the MEP supply chain market.
- Membership of an industry related professional institution such as CIBSE / CIOB / IEI or equivalent.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Live Energies / Arc Flash Training.
Qualifications
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Construction related subject.
- Professional accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineer at MCIBSE level or equivalent.
- BIM Fundamentals.
- IOSH or equivalent H&S Management Training.
