Earthstream Global is working with an international renewables EPC that is seeking an experienced ICP Engineer / Manager to take ownership of 132 kV grid connection activities across multiple projects. This is a hands-on role suited to a technical, self-sufficient professional who is confident managing ICPs and ensuring delivery against programme, cost, and quality expectations. You will work closely with internal project teams, ICPs, DNOs, suppliers, and clients, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of 132kV grid connection works nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 132kV grid connection activities during the construction phase, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets are met.
  • Lead and control Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), holding contractors accountable for delivery and performance.
  • Lead technical assurance of all ICP deliverables, reviewing and approving HV/LV designs, SLDs, and ensuring compliance with ENA, DNO/IDNO, G99/G100, BS, and client standards.
  • Support responses to RFQs for HV and grid connection works, including sourcing quotations from ICPs and HV equipment suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop project budgets and client proposals.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of grid connection processes.

Skills and experience:

  • Academic background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Grid Connections/ICP Engineer, or similar role, gained within an ICP, DNO, National Grid, or Solar EPC environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted internal and external relationships.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
