Health and Safety Advisor – Complex Construction Project – Onsite
An exciting opportunity has come up with a Tier-1 construction company with operations across Europe, who are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join one of their projects in Cardiff.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will assist with the implementation of the Health and Safety framework across this project as well as future projects.
Duties will include:
- Attend Start Up meetings and deliver appropriate training.
- Carry out audits/inspections.
- Provide sound advice to project stakeholders.
- Liaise with enforcement authorities if they attend site to investigate an incident.
- Assist the HSE Manager in preparation of a Health and Safety report for the BU MD at applicable internals.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Good experience with Health and Safety for a large construction project in the UK.
- NEBSOH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 4 / EFQ L3 on.
- Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent.
- Experienced with internal auditing.
- Awareness of lifting operations BS 7121/IS361.
- Temp Works Awareness including knowledge of TWC role.
- Incident Investigation Training.
- Strong communication skills in English.
