Civil Engineer – Utility-Scale Solar – Contract
We are looking for a highly motivated Civil Engineer with proven utility-scale solar experience to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will take responsibility for the civil engineering design, planning, and delivery of large-scale solar projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support civil engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to construction and commissioning.
- Develop and review designs for site layouts, grading, drainage, access roads, and foundations for utility-scale solar projects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, electrical and structural engineers, contractors, and permitting authorities.
- Manage site investigations, surveys, and geotechnical assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, planning permissions, and industry standards.
- Support tendering and contractor selection processes.
- Monitor civil works on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.
- Identify and mitigate technical and contractual risks throughout project delivery.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong understanding of civil design for solar farms, including site grading, drainage, and structural interfaces.
- Familiarity with permitting, environmental regulations, and local construction standards.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Knowledge of geotechnical and hydrological assessments.
- Experience in construction supervision and contractor management.
