Earthstream Global is working with an international renewables EPC that is seeking an experienced ICP Project Manager to take ownership of 132 kV grid connection projects across the UK. This position will suit a self-sufficient professional who is confident managing projects relating to ICPs, and ensuring delivery against programme, cost, and quality expectations.
You will work closely with internal project teams, ICPs, DNOs, suppliers, and clients, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of 132kV grid connection works nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage 132kV grid connection scopes of projects during the construction phase.
- Lead and manage Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), holding contractors accountable for delivery and performance.
- Managing and negotiating contracts with ICPs.
- Support responses to RFQs for HV and grid connection works, including sourcing quotations from ICPs and HV equipment suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop project budgets and client proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of grid connection processes.
Skills and experience:
- Strong experience delivering electrical projects specifically relating to 132kV substations and grid connections.
- Good experience managing renewable projects, Solar, BESS, Wind.
- Proven experience gained within an ICP, DNO, Solar, BESS, Wind EPC environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted internal and external relationships.
- Industry recognised Project Management certification/qualification.
- Willingness to travel across the UK.
