Responsible for HV system integration, operational supervision and electrical safety rules (HV/MV/LV). Ensure safety when working with High HV and LV.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for electrical issues according to the affected Country's legislation and regulation.
  • Delegating scopes of works for the whole team of Transmission Specialists on sites both offshore and onshore.
  • Managing rotaplans for all Transmission Specialists and Operators on site.
  • Leading improvements of instructions and site-specific instructions related to High Voltage electrical operations.
  • Implementation of the client's Electrical Safety Rules on site, including the safe system of work.
  • Advise operationally on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cables.
  • Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
  • Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
  • Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties.
  • Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages.
  • Oversee and delegate planning of all switching activities on sites, both offshore and onshore.
  • Control safety documents for the Electrical Safety Rules on site.
  • Define safety procedures for electrical matters.
  • Delegate tasks to Operators on sites overseeing safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
  • Review the high voltage scope of work.
  • Knowledge and experience with country specific standards.

Tasks

  • Ensure compliance with and manage the client's Electrical Safety Rules.
  • Safety coordination in electrical matters.
  • Manage and coordinate HV/MV/LV commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with National Grid and attend commissioning panel meetings.
  • Act as senior authorized person.
  • Outage management and network control in collaboration with the Control Engineers.
  • Prepare and check high voltage switching schedules.
  • Update MV/HV/LV schematic diagrams.
  • Inspect work sites and perform site safety inspections and auditing for electrical matters.
  • Check method statements for electrical matters.
  • Implement and provide training programs for relevant staff according to the rules.
  • Mentor HV APs during field training.

Deliverables

  • Input to the project commissioning management manual and related documents (including pre-commissioning and commissioning quality plans).
  • Participation in different audits.
  • Reports from FAT.
