Technical Officer
Construction plant - diggers, dozers, dumpers - is a major part of the UK construction industry, and crucial to the UK economy. The Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) is the trade association representing the owners of these machines - it has over 1,800 Members across the UK and has been established for over 80 years. Members range from owner operators with a single machine, right through to the largest companies in the industry, with hire fleets of thousands of machines. Together, CPA Members supply over 85% of hired plant to the construction industry.
To help achieve the UK's net zero emissions target, it's vital that the construction plant sector and the wider construction industry play our collective part in the overall, significant reduction of carbon emissions.
CPA is becoming increasingly engaged on the change programme required. As well as bringing forward solutions, we have the principal role in ensuring that all proposals and plans are realistic, achievable and evidence-driven, and are sustainable for CPA Members' businesses.
We are now recruiting a Technical Officer to support our Members on all aspects of net zero carbon and emissions in the construction plant sector. The post is full time and permanent.
The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of construction plant as well as knowledge of current legislation and developments in carbon reduction and emissions reduction.
