EarSwitch create new breakthrough sensing and data technologies for next generation earphones, headsets and health. We develop sensing solutions to be used as medical monitors, discreet human interface devices and communication tools. The purpose of this role is to support and maintain effective operational, quality management and organisational processes across EarSwitch Ltd. The role will focus on developing, implementing and maintaining robust quality management systems and operational procedures aligned with ISO 13485 standards and certification requirements. The postholder will help ensure EarSwitch activities are delivered through safe, reliable and well-documented processes, supporting consistency, traceability and continuous improvement across the organisation. This includes supporting project activities, document management, operational planning, supplier coordination, commercialisation activities and wider business processes where appropriate. The role will work collaboratively across the EarSwitch team, providing guidance and support to ensure processes are understood, maintained and followed effectively. The postholder will also contribute to developing a positive quality-focused culture and continuous improvement mindset across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Quality System Management & Compliance: Develop, implement and maintain EarSwitch Ltd’s Quality Management System (QMS) and associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Operational Process Control & Continuous Improvement: Lead investigations into non-conformances, process deviations and operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). Support risk management activities, including maintaining risk registers and tracking mitigation actions where appropriate. Help ensure operational activities are delivered consistently against agreed processes, timelines and quality expectations. Assist with process planning, workflow coordination and operational oversight across EarSwitch projects and activities.
  • Coordination, Communication & Reporting: Support coordination of meetings, actions and operational activities across the EarSwitch team and external collaborators. Prepare correspondence, reports, quality records and operational documentation as required. Assist with preparing and presenting operational and quality updates to relevant stakeholders, collaborators and team members. Maintain clear and effective communication between EarSwitch team members, collaborators, and external partners to support smooth delivery of activities. Monitor actions, deliverables and process-related activities to ensure timely completion and follow-through.
  • Training, Operational & Team Support: Provide guidance and support to staff on quality procedures, operational processes and document management practices. Assist with onboarding and training team members on new or updated workflows and procedures. Help manage & assist in office/lab operational needs as required.
