The predicted salary is between 28300 - 30000 £ per year.

Location: North West/Northern Ireland. Working across Health and Social Care Trust areas within Northern Ireland. A hybrid working policy is in place.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm

Tenure: Fixed Term until 30 June 2029 with possibility of extension

The role: The Early Years Quality Advisor (EYQA) will be responsible for the programmatic development, delivery, co-ordination and quality assurance within the pre-school sector. The EYQA will also contribute to the delivery of existing services and developments within the Early Years portfolio, with a clear focus on leading improvements within the sector.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Hold an Undergraduate Qualification in Early Years.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of statutory requirements in Northern Ireland for childcare settings in the community and voluntary sector.
  • Have at least two years acting in a lead capacity in a voluntary/independent pre-school OR Sure Start OR a Nursery, Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 class.
  • Have proven experience of quality improvement.

Shortlisting will be completed based on the information contained with the application form, therefore it is important to clearly outline how you meet the criteria. Where there are a large number of applications received, candidates may also be shortlisted using the desirable criteria.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is Tuesday 10 March 2026. For shortlisted applicants, it is anticipated that interviews will take place on Wednesday 18 March 2026. A reserve list may be held for a period of up to six months for the same or similar roles.
