Chief Executive, Early Years Scotland

Location: Glasgow – Hybrid

Salary – £55,000 to £60,000

Early Years Scotland exists to make a real, positive difference to the lives of our youngest children. We are committed to providing the very best start in life for each and every child in Scotland. We stand by our central belief that high quality early learning and childcare is a strong predictor of positive outcomes and improved life chances for children.

As our CEO, reporting directly to the Board, you will be proactive and passionate about supporting the team in all they do; the support they give, the programmes they deliver, the innovations they imagine, and the passion they have for making a difference every day. Your experience in early years will stand you in great stead for taking the organisation into its next iteration and beyond. With a vision for what early learning and childcare does for children, families, and communities, your passion will drive and influence at policy and agenda-setting levels.

In this role, you will be responsible for empowering an experienced team, for further developing the organisation, and for ensuring our diversification in income streams continues. A key aspect of the role is building on what has gone before while bringing a new strategy to life. You will be an exemplary networker with the ability to develop partnerships and to recognise mutually beneficial opportunities.

If you want to lead a committed team and make a difference to the lives of children in Scotland, we would love to hear from you.

Applications in the form of a tailored CV and a covering letter (no longer than two pages), highlighting your skills and experience pertinent to the role, should arrive no later than midnight Wednesday 09 April 2025.
