Early Learners Nurseries has been caring for babies and young children since 1985 and is a family run company. We want passionate Early Years Professionals to join our expanding workforce.

We are searching for a proactive candidate who can effectively support and lead a setting and its team. The position involves having a high level of responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the company. The job involves being responsible for overseeing and successfully delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Guidance (EYFS) and other government statutory legislation within our childcare provision. Working across settings supporting the Managers, Area Manager and Directors.

To offer full and practical support in the day-to-day running of the nursery. A candidate for this position will need to demonstrate the ability to successfully manage a company, support parents & carers and work alongside the local authority. They must be proactive, have a positive approach to learning and be open to change as Early Learners is an evolving and growing company who continuously strive for excellence.

They must provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which babies and young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential. All candidates must provide evidence of a minimum Early Years qualification of a level 3, childcare degree and/or NQT, equivalent or higher to apply for a position.

  • Two contacts and addresses for written references (one needs to be current employer)

It is important to us that you feel as comfortable and confident working within our environment as we are with you working within our setting with children. We will show you around our facilities and give you the opportunity to see or work within each of our classrooms and ask our team questions. Safety is paramount with working with children so please ensure you come prepared and wear appropriate clothing.

The interview is led by a member of our management team. We will ask you questions and review the following areas:

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities experience
  • Qualification(s) & awards
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • Procedure in dealing with 'what to do if you are worried a child has been abused'
  • Prevent Duty & British Values
