Earlsferry House Care Home is set in a stunning coastal location in the beautiful town of Elie and Earlsferry. Our welcoming 26 bed home provides Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care in a warm and nurturing environment where every meal is made with care and attention to detail. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team and deliver high quality, nutritious and comforting meals for our residents.
What We Offer
- Β£12.50 per hour
- Contracted to 20 hours per week
- Paid PVG

What You Will Do
- You will prepare, cook and serve a variety of hot and cold meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
- Working with the Head Chef, you will assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, nutritious and enjoyable meals using fresh ingredients where possible.
- You will maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, manage stock and supplies, complete temperature checks and records, and ensure equipment and crockery are cleaned and stored correctly.
- You will support a calm, welcoming dining experience and contribute to the overall wellbeing of residents through thoughtful, timely service.
What We Are Looking For
- City and Guilds 706 1 and 2 or equivalent qualification achieved or working towards
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience preparing meals for people with specific dietary needs is desirable
- Ability to work well as part of a small kitchen team and to use initiative when required
- Good communication skills and a caring approach
