Location: Field based role (predominantly Midlands based)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager (Field) to join our team predominantly covering the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for a positive and driven Field or Telephone BDM looking for a new challenge; this role suits applicants with a proven background in business development or experience in the residential mortgage industry looking to develop into this area. This opportunity will focus on effectively sourcing and managing mortgage intermediary relationships and working closely with the Business Development and Marketing Manager and the Telephone Business Development Manager. You will effectively promote and communicate the esbs lending criteria and proposition whilst impressing with the highest levels of service.
What you will be doing:
- Generating new mortgage business from existing and potential new intermediaries
- Promoting the Society’s mortgage products and identifying new business opportunities
- Proactively sourcing firms/brokers with potential to submit quality mortgage business
- Building and developing strong, productive and positive relationships with Brokers
- Representing esbs at Broker network and mortgage club events raising product awareness
- Working closely with our internal Intermediary Mortgage Team and other teams to maximise opportunities
- Assisting our existing and new Brokers with all new business enquiries
About you:
- Previous experience of working in a similar BDM role within the residential mortgage industry – we will consider candidates looking for their first BDM role provided they have relevant experience within the residential mortgage industry
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Comfortable building new relationships and developing existing to support strategic growth
- Have the ability to understand and interpret data and use insight to make recommendations and drive action
- Understanding of the financial services regulatory environment including mortgage regulation
- Enthusiastic with drive to succeed and deliver results
- Be CeMAP qualified, or willing to work to achieve this within an agreed timescale
- Four GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C and above including Maths and English
- Full driving licence (endorsements to be disclosed)
