Job Title:Senior Resource Manager
Hub:Operations
Reports to:Managing Partner, Director of Operations
Responsible for: No direct reports
Hours: Full time, permanent
Location: Manchester, Northern Quarter. We operate a Hybrid working policy of ideally minimum 3 days in Manchester HQ per week.
THE ROLE:
Working closely with the Managing Partner for Client Delivery, Hub Leaders and project teams, you\’ll manage day to day allocation of our internal talent and freelance network. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised Senior Resource Manager who thrives in a very fast-paced, high-volume, and agile agency environment. You\’ll be adept at navigating frequent changes, collaborating positively on solutions, and leveraging technology to streamline processes and maintain efficient delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Expertly track and manage resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects from initiation to completion.
- Facilitate short and long-term resource planning for strategic and creative needs, collaborating closely with internal teams.
- Experience of new systems implementation and driving forward a change management approach.
- Partner with Client Services, Strategic, and Creative leadership to ensure project timelines and resource allocations are met within agreed parameters.
- Implement and maintain monday.com to improve productivity, visibility, and resource scheduling.
- Analyse and produce reports on workflow data and utilisation, identifying opportunities to optimise efficiency and streamline day-to-day processes.
- Manage and allocate agency resources efficiently, aiming for optimal team utilisation in a high-volume environment.
- Maintain a strong understanding of creative production processes and real-time agency resource requirements
- Lead and manage all required traffic and resourcing meetings effectively.
- Proactively identify and solve day-to-day resourcing challenges, working collaboratively to find optimal solutions for creative delivery.
- Manage freelance cost-efficiency and track quality ratings in our Supplier CRM.
- Support compliance efforts as they relate to resource allocation and tracking.
- Foster a smooth and positive experience of daily resource planning for all teams.
- Be responsible for delivering operational training to the wider agency, including on using Monday.com.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal successfulcandidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Resource Manager or Traffic Manager (5 years), specifically within a fast-paced creative or marketing agency.
- Extensive knowledge of creative agency workflows and real-time resource needs.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agency environment is a must.
- Hands on experience with resource management software with a strong background with Monday.com.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of concurrent projects and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- A natural problem solver who thrives in changing and complex environments, and is efficient with limited resources.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, particularly in navigating frequent resource conflicts and working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
- Experience managing internal creative teams and external freelance partners.
- Deep experience managing external partners alongside internal creative teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills including with senior management.
- A problem solver who thrives in changing and complex environments, and is efficient with limited resources.
- Proficiency with monday.com (or similar software), resource data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think strategically and implement operational improvements.
- Understanding of influencer marketing and social content resourcing.
