We are looking for a skilled Mainframe System Automation specialist to join our global team focused on the design and implementation of monitoring and automation solutions. Our team is responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for a number of critical products across the organization, ensuring their availability, recoverability and security. The team is using Broadcom OPS/MVS product. Broad experience on IBMz is essential for this role to effectively advise our users on best solutions.
In this role, you will manage requests for creation or enhancement of monitoring and automation rules for Mainframe Automation, collaborating with IT teams globally, as well as providing support in response to identified incidents. The role will also involve project work, that requires expertise in Mainframe Automation and IBMz to design and deliver effective and appropriate automation solutions.
Responsibilities:- Administer and support the Mainframe System Automation.
- Deliver automation at the quality and pace warranted by the business.
- Ensuring delivery to the customer while adhering to established global standards and best practice.
- Actively participate in achieving organizational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis to drive automation solution.
- Work closely with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solution as agreed.
- Experience in Mainframe systems, especially in System Automation area - working with any Mainframe automation product such as OPS/MVS or IBM SA/NetView. Work experience with OPS/MVS product is a benefit.
- Ability to code/script using REXX programming language.
- Understanding of the Incident, Problem, Change Management processes.
- Experience of providing production support and troubleshooting for IBMz Mainframe systems. Work on incidents & issues to ensure completion within agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
