An independent consultancy is seeking an experienced, qualified actuary to provide expert advice on pension schemes. The role involves complex member calculations, funding advice, and technical consultancy for both large and small to medium-sized schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise trustees on funding, member calculations, and GMPE.
• Conduct complex actuarial work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage actuarial work for small to medium-sized schemes.
• Prepare reports and valuations to support decision-making.
• Develop and apply actuarial factors and assumptions.
• Stay updated on pension regulations and techniques.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of pension funding, member calculations, and GMPE.
• Scheme Experience: Experience with small to medium-sized schemes preferred.
• Consultancy: Some consultancy experience (extensive presenting not required).
• Qualifications: Fully qualified actuary.
• Skills: Problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork.
