6-Month Fixed Term Contract | Immediate Start Preferred | London Market Insurance
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced reinsurance operations professional to join a specialist London Market insurance business on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. This role would suit someone with strong outward or ceded reinsurance experience who can quickly get up to speed, support a busy team and add value across operational delivery, data coordination, process improvement and stakeholder management.
Working as part of a collaborative reinsurance function, you will support activity across the full ceded reinsurance lifecycle, with a particular focus on ensuring information is accurate, processes are well controlled and internal and external stakeholders have what they need to move work forward efficiently.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Supporting operational activity across ceded reinsurance placements and related processes.
- Preparing, reviewing and coordinating key reinsurance information and documentation.
- Working with underwriting data to ensure accuracy, completeness and usability.
- Liaising with internal teams and external market contacts to support smooth delivery.
- Helping maintain reporting, MI and process controls across the reinsurance function.
- Supporting audit, governance and regulatory-related activity where required.
- Contributing to projects focused on improving systems, processes and ways of working.
- Helping the team manage priorities during a busy period of change and delivery.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in reinsurance operations, outward reinsurance or ceded reinsurance.
- A good understanding of the London Market insurance environment.
- Confidence working with numerical data and operational reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
- A practical, solution-focused approach and the ability to work well in a fast-moving team.
- Immediate or short-notice availability.
