Eames Consulting is currently partnering with a leading general insurer on the appointment of a Senior Operational Risk Analyst. This role will be based in London and aids the Group Head of Operational Risk in driving robust operational risk frameworks outcomes across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of the group’s operational risk framework, including setting risk appetite, developing monitoring metrics, and performing scenario analysis.
- Assist in managing the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for corporate functions such as HR and BCP.
- Review internal loss incidents, perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and share key takeaways across all regions. Analyse and distribute relevant information from external events.
- Support the development and improvement of operational risk profiles and dashboards, including preparing reports for executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Help in the creation of operational risk training and awareness materials for the Group.
- Provide support in configuring and maintaining the Company’s GRC system, including creating user guides and offering assistance.
- Assist with second-line governance and control reviews, including thematic assessments requested by the Group Operational Risk Committee (ORC).
- Offer support where necessary for broader Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives across the Group.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years working in 2nd line operational risk.
- Knowledge of the insurance market, ideally property, casualty or reinsurance.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Strong communications skills.
