Job Description
My client is hiring an actuary with 1-3 year experience in general insurance to join their reserving team.
This reserving team of 10 people has responsibility for reserving across lines of business including Casualty, Property, Financial Lines, Accident & Health, Tech Risks, Marine, High Net Worth and Speciality Personal Lines.
While reserving is the primary purpose of the role, there will be regular opportunities to work with actuarial colleagues in the Pricing, Planning and Capital Modelling teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the quarterly reviews of premium, loss and expense reserves
- Prepare quarterly reserve analysis presentations
- Support the Solvency II Technical Provisions quarterly calculation process
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the reserving capability in both onshore and offshore teams
- Support external consultant’s and auditor’s independent analysis of reserve adequacy and reserving methods
