Interim Management Accountant 3-6 month assignment | On-site £250 - £350 per day DOE
We are delighted to be working with a PE-backed industrials group to support their search for an experienced Interim Management Accountant.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting with budget, prior month, and prior year comparisons.
- Track rental income, margins, maintenance costs, overheads, and financing charges using appropriate revenue recognition policies.
- Produce Board and SLT reporting packs with agreed KPIs and performance analysis.
- Deliver monthly sales reporting by salesperson, customer, and product group.
- Report on asset performance, including yields, ROI, and category-level profitability.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
- Manage VAT registration and returns in line with UK tax requirements.
- Assist with annual audit processes and statutory accounts preparation.
- Oversee Sales Ledger (credit control) and Purchase Ledger (accounts payable).
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams across the wider business.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant experience.
- Proven background in management accounting or a similar analytical finance role.
- Experience in Private Equity or rental, asset-based, environments is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of UK tax regulations, including VAT and HMRC compliance.
- Experience supporting external audits and preparing statutory accounts.
