Job Description
Pensions Executive
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pensions professional to join a growing team in a broad and varied role. You'll work closely with trustee boards, corporates, advisers and service providers, supporting governance, secretarial and strategic projects across a wide range of occupational pension schemes.
What you'll be doing:
Acting as a key point of contact for trustees, in-house pensions leads and other stakeholders
Supporting and managing relationships with advisers, providers and regulators
Delivering scheme secretarial services, including meeting preparation, minutes and follow-up actions
Overseeing governance activities such as budgets, risk registers and annual returns
Managing member communications, including trustee newsletters and funding statements
Coordinating routine projects like annual reports and accounts, as well as wider strategic change initiatives (investment, de-risking and wind-ups)
Supporting trustee effectiveness reviews, service provider procurement and other governance projects
Playing a part in business development through networking and contributing to thought leadership content
Contributing to the development of new services and supporting team training and knowledge-sharing
What we're looking for:
5-10 years' experience in the pensions industry, with strong knowledge of occupational pension schemes
Up-to-date technical knowledge of pensions and industry developments
Experience working with regulators and managing third-party provider relationships
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor to different audiences
Highly organised with strong numeracy and analytical skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Professional qualifications such as APMI or actuarial exams would be advantageous, though not essential
