Accountabilities:
- Lead the preparation of a variety of qualitative and quantitative reports and management information for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful, and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Work closely with colleagues of all levels to compile and sign submissions off.
- Responsible for manipulating data, producing insight and recommendations to ensure effective and informed decision making, and to communicate key messages in terms of performance management process, and syndicate and class of business performance.
- Design and deliver high-impact MI and analytics, providing expert-level analysis and actionable insights to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Use knowledge of the Client's and wider insurance market to interpret trends, identify risks and opportunities, and make strategic recommendations.
- Own the end-to-end MI process within the Office of the Chief of Market Performance, including data extraction, production, analysis, and visualisation.
- Ensure reporting is timely, relevant, and supports market performance oversight at market, syndicate, and class levels.
- Responsible for the creation and collation of MI for the Market Performance SLT, working with the individual Directors to ensure MI is reflective and informative of their area.
- Responsible for production and collation of monthly/quarterly reporting packs at market, syndicate, or class level, bringing a sophisticated approach to analytics in conjunction with Portfolio Analytics team to identify performance drivers and make recommendations for appropriate action plans or objectives.
- Support external and internal communications, in collaboration with the Market Performance Business Manager, by providing data-driven insights, analysis, and visual materials for external and internal presentations (including market messages, speeches, training, regulatory requests, annual results, rating agencies) on behalf of all of the Directors in Market Performance.
- Maintain a central library of collateral for consistency and reuse.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics, identifying areas of improvement in our reporting, dashboards, processes, and applications to create efficiencies.
- Extract and analyse data from key systems including Business Objects, Qlik Sense, Dynamics, and other applications to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and reporting.
Skills:
- Analytical capability with strong data manipulation skills (Excel, Power BI, Qliksense).
- Ability to produce clear, insightful MI and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills – able to summarise complex data into compelling narratives.
- High attention to detail, demonstrating thoroughness and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective relationship builder and sound stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Skilled in creating dashboards and visualisations to support decision-making.

- Confidence and experience of making informed decisions.
- High level of data literacy competence for the storage, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data, including knowledge of business intelligence tools, e.g. Business Objects, QlikSense.
Experience:
- Proven experience in producing MI and preparing reporting packs to different stakeholders.
- Experience in analysing market, syndicate, or class-level performance data.
- Track record of supporting strategic decision-making through data insights.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
