This role focuses on shaping and improving underwriting outcomes through insight, coordination and strategic support. Working alongside underwriting leaders and cross-functional teams, you'll help steer portfolio direction, strengthen decision-making and support long-term performance across assigned lines of business.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with underwriting leadership to support portfolio direction and execution
- Turn data, market intelligence and analysis into clear commercial insight
- Track performance, identify emerging trends and flag risks or opportunities early
- Support delivery of strategic initiatives, portfolio reviews and change activity
- Act as a connector between underwriting, operations, finance, analytics and external partners
- Contribute to reporting, governance activity and regulatory deliverables
- Support broker and partner discussions on portfolio or facility opportunities
- Improve ways of working by challenging existing processes and implementing smarter solutions
- Provide guidance, oversight and development support to an analyst within the team
Experience & Skills
- Background in specialty or London Market insurance
- Strong commercial and analytical judgement
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across functions
- Knowledge of underwriting practices, portfolio oversight and regulatory frameworks
- Clear communicator with the confidence to represent the business internally and externally
