Eames Consulting is exclusively partnering with a leading Lloyd’s Syndicate looking to appoint a Senior Underwriter to join its established Political Violence & Terrorism team in London.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded underwriting platform with an established international portfolio, underwriting a broad range of Political Violence and Terrorism risks across global markets.

Working alongside an experienced team, you'll play a key role in driving profitable growth while developing relationships with some of the London Market’s leading brokers.

The role offers genuine underwriting autonomy, exposure to complex multinational risks and the opportunity to further establish your presence within one of the market’s most specialist classes.

The Opportunity

  • Underwrite a portfolio of Political Violence & Terrorism risks across both new and renewal business.
  • Build and develop relationships with leading London Market brokers.
  • Assess and price complex international risks while maintaining underwriting discipline.
  • Contribute to the continued profitable growth of the portfolio.
  • Work closely with senior underwriting leadership on business planning and portfolio strategy.
  • Represent the business externally and continue building your market profile.
  • Mentor junior members of the underwriting team and support technical development.

About You

You'll already have experience underwriting Political Violence & Terrorism business within the Lloyd’s or London Market, with strong technical underwriting skills and an established broker network.

You'll enjoy building relationships, identifying new business opportunities and balancing portfolio growth with disciplined underwriting.

You'll bring

  • London Market experience underwriting Political Violence & Terrorism business.
  • Strong relationships with London Market brokers.
  • Experience handling both new business and renewals.
  • A commercial approach with sound underwriting judgement.
  • ACII qualification (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
