A growing pensions data team is looking to hire a Lead Data Consultant to take ownership of a portfolio of DB schemes and play a key role in delivering complex data solutions. This is a senior, client-facing role focused on strategy, oversight and relationship management, rather than pure delivery.

You'll act as the trusted adviser to clients, leading on data strategy and overseeing delivery across a range of projects. This will include:

  • Leading data work across DB pension schemes
  • Advising on complex rectification projects (including GMP and Barber)
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Overseeing delivery teams and ensuring high-quality outputs
  • Managing multiple schemes simultaneously
  • Identifying and supporting further work opportunities

You'll be working across a varied portfolio, with team sizes depending on the scale of each scheme.

What they're looking for:

  • Strong DB pensions data experience
  • Hands-on exposure to data rectification work (GMP, Barber etc.)
  • Ability to get into the detail and challenge technical outputs
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing experience
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills

This role won't suit someone who is purely relationship-led without the technical grounding.

Package:

  • £70,000 - £110,000 base salary
  • Hybrid working (typically 1 day per week in office)
  • Flexible location across UK offices
  • Some client travel required
  • Open to 4-day working

Why consider it:

  • Established and growing team with a strong pipeline of work
  • Opportunity to take real ownership of client relationships
  • Varied and complex project work
  • Clear progression and strong earning potential at senior level
