The Opportunity
My client is a PE-backed enterprise software group who has recently completed an acquisition and is looking for a quasi Interim Finance Director / Finance Transformation Director to support with the integration into the group. This is a hands-on mandate to take hold of the commercials, professionalise finance operations, and fully integrate the business into the wider group. There is genuine scope to extend beyond the project into broader M&A and strategic finance transformation work across the group.
The Mandate
- Scope the full customer and supplier contract base, mapping what's in place and where the gaps are
- Understand current pricing and where the business has historically underpriced
- Identify what needs to change across commercials, controls and processes
- Establish what's required to retain key customers and suppliers through the transition
- Bring finance processes and controls up to a proper standard
- Integrate management information and reporting onto the group platform
- Align supplier terms onto a consistent group basis
- Move customer contracts onto a pricing uplift
- Wrap robust governance and controls around the contract base
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial contracts knowledge; B2B essential, software helpful but not a must
- Proven on a finance integration project, ideally within an M&A context
- Someone who knows what "good" looks like and can install proper governance and controls quickly
- Private equity experience highly desirable
