We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to oversee and enhance the performance of our client’s Global specialty underwriting portfolio. This role provides strategic oversight, ensuring consistent underwriting practices, quality assurance, and alignment with portfolio objectives across multiple product lines including Cyber, Political Risk, Marine, Engineering, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide portfolio-level oversight to support profitable underwriting decisions across Specialty lines.
- Implement and monitor underwriting standards, KPIs, and best practices.
- Act as a second set of eyes for complex or high-value risk referrals.
- Conduct portfolio performance reviews and coordinate lessons learned across business units.
- Support development of underwriting guidelines and appetite statements.
- Drive consistency in policy language, underwriting decisions, and portfolio management in response to market trends.
- Contribute to training, thought leadership, and cross-functional initiatives to strengthen Specialty underwriting capabilities.
Experience & Skills
- 10+ years in Specialty insurance
- Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to influence and guide underwriting teams.
