A leading global insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their team. This role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and insurance, supporting critical applications used across underwriting, claims, and finance functions. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and integrity of systems that underpin core business operations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for business-critical applications, including underwriting and claims systems
- Investigate and resolve data and system issues across integrated platforms (downstream systems)
- Write and optimise advanced SQL queries (T-SQL) for troubleshooting and reporting
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases (performance tuning, backups, optimisation)
- Develop and support SSIS data pipelines and SSRS reports
- Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents and implement enhancements
- Support system releases, upgrades, and change initiatives
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and traceability across systems
- Maintain documentation and support processes aligned with ITIL best practices
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning, database administration)
- Hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS
- Proven ability to investigate data issues across multiple systems
- Experience supporting business applications in a production environment
- Knowledge of insurance systems, ideally within the Lloyd’s / London Market
- Familiarity with platforms such as Subscribe, Exposure Management tools, or similar insurance systems
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
- Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
- Experience with Windows Server and IIS
