The purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of MWP focused technology projects, ensuring solutions are aligned with existing platforms, service architecture, and deployment strategies. You will lead the planning and execution of initiatives across MWP, EUC and related collaboration technologies and security, with a strong emphasis on operational readiness and scalability.

You are accountable for coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects within agreed parameters of cost, time, and quality. You will have solid technical knowledge across Modern Workplace technologies such as Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID and other Microsoft product stack technologies. Experience of driving technology change/adoption and reporting. Experience with integrations and migration paths from on-prem solutions to Microsoft 365.

You will bring experience in managing the infrastructure lifecycle, systems integration, service design, and cutover planning. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure infrastructure solutions meet business and technical requirements. You will define project outputs, clarify scope, and ensure alignment with delivery milestones and success criteria.

As a Project Manager, you will be empowered to shape your team’s ways of working and apply the most effective delivery techniques to achieve project goals. You will collaborate with Heads of Portfolio and platform owners to optimise infrastructure delivery and accelerate value realisation. As part of the Portfolio Delivery Team, you will contribute to planning, tracking, and reporting activities that support the successful execution of infrastructure projects.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading the development of infrastructure service architecture, embedding operational controls and standards to support sustainable, secure, and scalable technology and business service outcomes.
  • Managing infrastructure delivery and ongoing support costs (e.g. hardware, hosting, managed services).
  • Planning and executing launch or cutover activities for complex infrastructure deployments, ensuring effective change management, stakeholder engagement, and post go-live support.
  • Operating within established governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with infrastructure standards, security policies, and change control processes.
  • Defining and applying the most suitable project delivery methodology (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid), establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and team structures to support efficient infrastructure delivery.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of infrastructure components to meet agreed milestones, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Managing project budgets, ensuring visibility and agreement on total cost of ownership, including capital and operational expenditure.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, shaping infrastructure delivery frameworks and standards through feedback and lessons learned.

Your skills and experience:

  • End-to-end delivery of MWP projects, ensuring teams have the right technical skills, resources, and support to deliver across network, server, storage, and cloud domains.
  • Scoping, planning, and estimating infrastructure work, defining delivery structures and ways of working that suit the complexity and scale of infrastructure programmes.
  • Development of service architecture and operational controls, in partnership with Service Managers, to ensure infrastructure solutions are secure, resilient, and support long-term business service outcomes.
  • Supplier and vendor management, including negotiation and oversight of commercial agreements for infrastructure delivery and ongoing operational costs (e.g. hosting, hardware, managed services).
  • Planning and execution of launch/cutover activities for infrastructure deployments, including change management, stakeholder coordination, and post-implementation support.
  • Quality assurance, reviewing and approving infrastructure deliverables to ensure they meet design, performance, and security standards.
  • Agile delivery capability, with the flexibility to apply Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies depending on the nature of the infrastructure project.
