Eames is partnering with a global insurer on the appointment of a Head of Underwriting Governance. This position will sit at Group level and will play a key role in supporting the Underwriting Portfolio Director and wider team by helping to shape and oversee the groupβs underwriting portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Shape the insurer's underwriting portfolio through implementing a versatile and expandable underwriting governance framework.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of underwriting and outwards reinsurance analyses, with the aim to improve and automate these processes where possible.
- Oversee compliance with underwriting principles and governance frameworks, including those related to outsourced arrangements with the group's coverholders, ensuring best in class governance frameworks are in place and adhered to.
- Over time, take on direct management of junior team members, who will contribute in overseeing underwriting activities and governance responsibilities.
Required Experience:
- Must have 10+ years' experience working in Insurance, in a relevant role.
