We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Finance Assistant on a contract basis to support a public sector organisation. The role involves assisting the finance function with day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and the smooth running of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Making and processing payments to clients accurately and in a timely manner
  • Managing and maintaining assigned caseloads effectively
  • Performing financial reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
  • Preparing and completing reports for the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)
  • Supporting team operations, including managing post, handling Outlook emails, answering and directing telephone calls
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks as required
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Supporting the team with ad hoc finance and administrative duties
