London (Canary Wharf) – 2 days per week onsite, 6 months contract.

Lead end‑to‑end solution design for the Limits Management platform, ensuring all designs align with the Bank’s enterprise architecture and governance standards.

Own the solution architecture for Limits Management, aligning with the Bank’s enterprise architecture, business requirements, and future‑state roadmap.

Produce High‑Level Design (HLD) detailing logical architecture, solution domains, functional modules, and end‑to‑end workflows, including limit configuration, approval, monitoring, aggregation, and breach management.

Collaborate with Data Analysts and Business Analysts to develop conceptual and logical data models, supporting exposure aggregation, credit concentration, reporting, and governance requirements.

Define non‑functional requirements covering performance, security, availability, scalability, auditability, recoverability, and operational support.

Engage stakeholders across delivery partners, vendors, and IT teams to assess solution options and provide technical steer.

Maintain architecture artefacts and secure approval via governance forums, ensuring traceability to requirements.

Identify and resolve design‑related risks, issues, and dependencies.

Propose and evaluate technologies, tools, and techniques to meet evolving business and technical needs.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise‑grade Limits Management, Exposure Management, or Credit Risk solutions in a large financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk concepts, limit lifecycle processes, utilisation monitoring, and breach handling.
  • Hands‑on experience producing HLDs, LLDs, data models, and interface specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of integration patterns (REST, message queues, event‑driven, ETL) and master‑data domains.
  • Experience with cloud‑based architectures (Azure or AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Proven track record managing architecture governance, presenting in Design Authority meetings, and aligning with enterprise roadmaps.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, translating technical concepts to business language.
